The Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs Office of The Director General Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is going to announce in Recruitment 2017 Various Vacancy Posts, Applications are invited from Indian citizens for filling up the following posts of Group-‘B’ and ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Combatised) in General Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The posts are temporary, but likely to continue. Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India or outside the territory of India and will be governed by SSB Act and Rules

The Candidates may apply for one or more than one of the following posts as per eligibility criteria. He/ She can exercise preference in the application form. The details of vacancies are as follows

Age Limit - Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) recruitment 2017 various vacancy post Age Qualification for SI (Staff Nurse) for Female only Age 21 to 30 years/ ASI (Pharmacist) Age 20 to 30 years / SI (Radiographer) Age 20 to 30 years / ASI (Operation Theatre Technician) Age 20 to 30 years / ASI (Dental Technician) Age 20 to 30 years / HC(Steward) And Constable (Ayah) for Female only Age 18 to 25 years / Constables (Waiter, Tailor, Cobbler, Painter, Carpenter and Gardener) Age 18 to 23 years

Pay Scale

Sub-Inspector (Staff Nurse) - Pay Band-II, `9300-34800 + Grade Pay of `4200/- per month.

Assistant Sub-Inspectors (Pharmacist, Operation Theatre Technician, Dental Technician & Radiographer) - Pay Band-I, `5200-20200 + Grade Pay of `2800/- per month.

Constables (Waiter, Carpenter, Painter, Tailor, Cobbler, Gardener & Ayah) - Pay Band-I, `5200-20200 + Grade Pay of `2000/- per month.

Essential Educational & Professional Qualification

SI (Staff Nurse) for Female only – (i) 10+2 with Science or equivalent from a recognized University or Board or Institution. (ii) Should be in possession of three years Diploma in General Nursing from an Institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government. (iii) Must be registered with Central or State Nursing Council. (iv) Must have two years experience in a recognized Hospital.

ASI (Pharmacist) – ( i) 10+2 with science or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution. (ii) Should be in possession of Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution of Central Government or State Government or an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government. (iii) Must be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (8 of 1948).

ASI (Radiographer) – ( i) 10+2 with science or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution. (ii) Should be in possession of two years Diploma in Radio diagnosis from an institution recognized by Central Government or State Government. (iii) Must have one year experience in Radiological department of a hospital of the Central Government or State Government or in a hospital recognized by the Central Government or State Government.

ASI (Operation Theatre Technician) – ( i) 10+2 with science or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution. (ii) Should be in possession of Diploma in Operation Theatre Technician or certificate in Operation Theatre Assistant cum Central Sterile supply Assistant from a recognized institution. (iii) Must have two years experience as an operation theatre technician in a reputed hospital.

ASI (Dental Technician) - (i) 10+2 with Science or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution. (ii) Should be in possession of two years Diploma in Dental Hygienist Course recognized by Central/State Government or Dental council of India. (iii) Must have one year experience as a Dental Technician in a reputed hospital.

HC (Steward) – (i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or Institution. (ii) Should be in possession of Diploma or certificate in Catering Kitchen management from a reputed institute. (iii) Should have one year experience in similar job in a reputed hotel.

Constable (Ayah) for Female only – (i) Matriculation with science from a recognized Board or Institution. (ii) Should be in possession of First Aid Examination pass certificate from Red Cross Society or should be trained Dai. (iii) Should have one year experience in relevant field.

Constables (Waiter, Tailor, Cobbler, Painter, Carpenter and Gardener) – (i) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board with (a) Two years Diploma from recognized Industrial Training Institute in thetrade or similar trade or (b) One year certificate course from a recognized ITI or Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade; or (c) Two years work experience in respective trades. Desirable - Multi-skilled candidates will be given preference

Fee - The General and OBC category candidates should pay examination fee of `50/-

Selection Process - The bio-metric examination, photograph and signature of the candidates who report with Admit Card at the recruitment venue will be taken which shall be followed by conduct of different stages of recruitment process as under

Physical Standard Test (PST) - The Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test will have to undergo Physical Standard Test. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PST. However, their actual height, weight and chest measurements will be recorded

Height & Chest


Weight - Weight of the candidate should be proportionate to height and age as per detail given below. Weight will not be disqualification at the time of PST. However, the overweight / underweight candidates will be disqualified at the time of Final Medical Examination based on weight and age on the day of Final Medical Examination and the height as measured during Physical Standard Test.

How to Apply - Those candidates whose appeal are found in order will be issued call letters to appear for Review Medical Examination and their list will also be uploaded in the SSB website i.e. www.ssbrectt.gov.in.
